BLADE X pro - 60V 23.4AH - DUAL MOTOR - SINE WAVE VERSION

A unique new Scooter from Blade! This really stands out, head turning style, with all the performance to back it up.

The whole package: Big battery, lights all over, dual motors, hydraulic brakes, key, horn, turn signals, bright display(sun ok), tough fenders, and more! All at the best price.

Like the other Blade scooters, this one has sine-wave controllers. This means the acceleration is smooth and motors are near silent! There's no lack of power, just a smoother acceleration curve compared to most controllers. The motors are 1200W each so don't worry about the hills! But please do worry about respecting the local speed limit. Some claim a 45 degree angle climbing capability.

The battery is 60V and 23.4Ah made up of 112 individual cells. Depending on your speed, terrain and weight, you'll get a max range around 60-80KM. I find very little difference between these grade A Chinese cells and the optional LG cells available. It can take up to 8 hours to charge after a long ride (with 2 Amp charger provided). There is a fuse that will only allow 5 Amp MAX charging current for faster chargers. Batteries like this last around 2-3 years or 300-600 charge cycles before you notice any major decrease in range.

10" pneumatic CST tires come standard, perfect for a scooter this size. It's actually a CST tubeless tire PLUS a standard inner tube inside. I really like the durability of this combination and CST rubber is a great choice.

XOD hydraulic brakes and 160mm rotors let you stop with confidence. When you pull the lever, brake lights are activated in addition to adjustable electronic braking from both motors. This can take some getting used to, but once you get the feel for it, the scooter is an extension of your body.

Regenerative braking? Yes, the electric brake does put some power back into the battery. The purpose of this is more for slowing down than recharging. With any scooter or ebike, be mindful when battery is at a full charge. Using electric braking on high settings (if you live at the top of a big hill) can overload controllers. Worse case scenario you'll need a replacement controller. Some riders turn off this feature altogether but I've always used it (set low) with no issues.

bright LCD screen that's visible in the daytime, thank goodness. Speedometer and odometer are always displayed along with speed modes 1-3. Within the settings of this screen you can adjust scooter performance. Acceleration, e-brake strength, master speed limiter(0-99%), cruise control, and kick-to-start(on-off). Settings saved automatically. Also troubleshooting is easier with error codes and icons provided.

You may notice the suspension looks different. How does it feel? I find it less bouncy compared to the common design, meaning it feels super stable on streets/bike routes, and still has enough shock absorption for the city. Seems to eliminate "speed wobble" completely. Light trail riding is fine but keep in mind these shocks have less travel than others. It's an effective design that won't cause any extra bounce or wobble.

A must-have on any dual motor scooter is a foot rest for your back foot. The Blade X features an extra stylish double winged foot rest combined with the rear suspension. It does what you need and looks great too!

Okay lets talk lights. This thing is lit from every angle. Main headlight, 2 front deck lights, main taillight, brake lights, turn signals, and of course red LED strips on either side of deck! An additional high mounted headlight is always recommended for frequent nightriders, but the Blade X comes with enough light for low speed night riding.

Riding in light rain is ok and most companies give an IP54 rating for their scooters. Sealing up the deck compartment with a silicone sealant can improve water resistance greatly. This can be done in our shop during final inspection for a fee, or a video tutorial can be provided. Still, I cannot guaranty it for hours of heavy rain over time. If some extra precautions are taken, a scooter can handle some rainy day commutes. The fenders are very thick and don't rattle over bumps. Rear fender is long enough to catch water and dirt.

You can't call this a small scooter. And when compared to big scooters, it's cute yet monstrous. This is a robust medium sized scooter. The deck is a comfortable size and yet the scooter is short enough to roll through a maze of doorways or fit into the trunk of a car. Stem folds and locks for carrying and storage. The scooter weighs 71 pounds so hopefully you don't need to carry it too far.
